These Taiko performers are from Sendai City, Kagoshima Prefecture. There are a great number of Taiko performing groups in Japan, but these performers are unique. They are drummer-dancers who perform not only in Japan but also overseas.

- I am Japanese and live in Kumamoto, Japan. Taking pictures is one of my pastimes. I would like to post one or two pictures on an irregular base in the hope that there may be someone who appreciates them. And another reason why I started my blog is to ward off senile dementia by practicing writing English.
I really enjoyed the group that performed in Los Angeles a year or so ago...These are wonderful action shots...so colorful and full of life and beautifully captured!
