Last night, I went to take pictures of "Sen-nin Toro Odori" in which 1000 women dressed in yukata and bearing lighted lanterns on their heads dance to a slow tempo music at a school ground in Yamaga City. It was very fantastic to see this deam-like dance with bright lanterns wavering in the dark night. I had difficulty setting the camera in order to get the suitable exposure and shutter speed.
This would be difficult to lower the shutter-speed with the movement...Your 5DMarkII should be able to increase ISO without digital noise. I am guessing this is what you must have done to capture such beautiful color and nighttime movement. These are definitely very dreamlike photos. They are beautiful!
