Baby Sumo Wrestlers

A kind of ritual called "Baby Sumo" is held at this time of year in many Shinto Shrines in Japan. It is one of the Japanese traditional events in order to pray for babies good health and growth. The babies with a decorated loincloth apron wearing a red and white brow band in the amateur sumo wresters' arms are performing a ring entrance ceremony together. It is believed that babies' crying expels evils.
