Tonight's moon was what we call "Chushu-no-meigetsu" or "harvest moon", which is said to be the brightest and the most beautiful of the entire year. These are the photos that I took from my garden. Unfortunately the moon got clouded over and it started to rain soon after I took them. There must have been many people who had to cancel their moon viewing sake parties. I was just lucky that I was able to capture the beautiful moon with its perfectly round shape.
The "harvest moon" is shining here tonight too! It's beautifully clear outside...move the sake party to my part of the world! HA! These are beautiful moon shots, too! I love the detail on the surface.
