The Royal Kona Resort Hotel where we stayed for two nights and three days is situated on the oceanfront over-lookng Kailua Bay in the heart of Kailua-Kona town. On our way to the restaurant where we had lunch, there was a shaved-ice shop which is one of the summer features in Japan. It was crowded with many people. Interestingly, the sign of "shaved-ice" on the cloth hanging under the eave of the shop was written in Japanese language. I thought that this shaved-ice shop might have been started by a Japanese who moved here from Japan. There were also many tropical flowers and blossoms near the hotel. They were so beautiful that I photographed some of them.
