Lava Tube Walk

After viewing the Halema'uma'u Crater, we stopped at the Thurston Lava Tube in Volcanoes National Park. It was still drizzling outside and I got wet on my way to the entrance of the lava tube, which is separated into two parts. I only walked the first part, because the second one was not lighted. It was too bad that I did not carry a flashlight with me, though I enjoyed a great short walk through the impressive lighted part.

  1. The lava tubes are so amazing...to think how they were formed is mind boggling. I really like how you captured the light and color outside of the tube...these are great!
