Now is the season for irises in Kyushu, Japan. This month I visited three places which are well-known for their irises in Kumamoto Prefecture. I posted the pictures of irises from Shohinken Garden in Yatsushiro and the iris garden in Amakusa on June 1 and 5. So today I am posting the night view of Takase-ura River in Tamana, where more than 30,000 irises are planted in and along the shallow part of the river. The irises in various colors, illuminated by electric lanterns, were stunningly beautiful. I hoped that I could capture the fantastic atomosphere of the place.
Oh my, this is a lovely place! Simply beautiful!
