These pictures were also taken when I visited my mother last week. While driving, I saw lots of hydrangeas by the roadside. I pulled over and photographed them with my compact camera. June is the season for hydrangeas in Japan. They are flowers of the rainy season because they look even more beautiful in the rain.
These are so beautiful. What a beautiful drive you must have to Kagoshima. I learned that the color of hydrangeas has to do with the fertilizer used. My parents had a backyard full of hydrangeas when I was growing up...hydrangeas and roses.
