Snow-covered Zen Temple

On the day when our city was hit by heavy snow, I visited a Shinto shrine and a Buddhist temple in my neighborhood. These photos were taken at the temple where Zen meditation is practiced in its main hall every Sunday. Everything in the visinity was blanketed with lots of snow. The reflection on the main hall windows looked like an Indian-ink brush painting called "sumi-ye" drawn on the sliding doors. It was a breathtaking sight!
