The first picture is a clipping from today's local newspaper. The photo in the article got the grand prix in the photo contest. At the same place where it was taken, I was taking pictures of this lion dance performance. But I did not like any of the pictures that I photographed there, so I did not enter any of my photos for the contest. The second photo is the one that I photographed at a shrine in my neigborhood the next day. The compositions of these two photos look similar, but the lion's performance from the winner's photograph looks more impressive than mine. I entered two photos of the decorated horse performance for the contest, but unfortunately they were left out of the final selection.

Well...so similar, indeed. That means you are a winner too! It is interesting that the first photo shows spectators wearing the white masks, while the second photo shows spectators without the masks. Interesting...
