These are the photos that I took in the Remains of Yatsushiro Castle on November 15. It was the day of the Seven-Five-Three Festival which is a traditional event to celebrate growth of seven-year-old boys, five-year -old girls and three-year-old boys or girls and pray for their future well-being at a nearby local Shinto shrine. The man wearing colorful clothes is the Shinto priest and a kimono-clad woman is a mother of the boy standing by her and looking at the priest. That day there was a chrysathmum exhibition inside the castle.
I can see a bit of spider web in the first photo! And, you know how I enjoy seeing your traditions and customs of everyday life. The little boy looks adorable in his dress-up clothes! The mums...Wow! I love the blur of the flowers in the back...what beautiful mums!
