On July 8, on my way home from Yamaga Ancient Lotus Park, I visited Kikuchi Gorge near Mt. Aso. It is one of the most well-known gorges in Japan for its many little waterfalls and breathtaking unspoiled forest along the mountain stream from Mt.Aso. In this picture, old oaks on the trails along the mountain stream are covered with damp moss mainly because of a moist wind from the stream. The oak trees were beautiful. They shined brilliantly in the morning sun. While walking and shooting, I remembered visiting there with Jerry and Carolyn in the summer of 2006.
