Toddlers' Sumo Match

These are the photos of a sumo match for pre-school toddlers held in Hinagu, a hot spring resort in Yatsushiro City. The toddlers' parents, grandparents and many other spectators cheered on little sumo wrestlers in the ring built at the foot of the steps to the main hall of the shrine, from the stepped terraces around the ring. I enjoyed taking pictures of little toddlers' bouts while seeing a girl beat a boy or a boy begin to cry and lose the bout before entering the ring.
