These pictures were taken last February. They are the pictures of a night festival of a little Shinto shrine in our area. The shrine, where a bonfire was held, was crowded with people who came to pray for happiness and good health and buy traditional Japanese sweets from stalls on the shrine ground. It is dubbed "Ame-matsuri or Sweets festival" by local people. 
These are very nice photos of pretty night scenes. The second photo is so beautifully lighted, especially. It seems to be a very peaceful and happy time for a visit to the shrine.
