Halawa Beach Park

After riding in the old car on a one lane road with many cliff-edge hairpin turns, we got to this beautiful beach. It is a secluded beach cove which looks like an excellent area for picnics, surfing, and fishing. A group of locals, one of whom told us her ancestors were from Japan, were relaxing in their own way.

  1. I love finding secluded beach areas like this! The Hawaiian Islands have so many of them despite the high tourism rate! I think most tourists spend their days on the beaches that front the huge hotels...not, us, though. That leaves these beautiful beaches to be our treasures!
