These were taken at Rainbow Falls located in Hilo, the Big Island of Hawaii. It is 80 feet tall, and almost 100 feet in diameter. Its name originated from the fact that on misty mornings a beautiful rainbow can be seen spanning the waterfall. So, the best time to see rainbows on the falls is in the mornings. Unfortunately we visited the falls in the afternoon.
Sometimes those falls are raging with water! They are beautiful! I think we have a family photo that was taken in just about that same spot...wonderful photos!
