On May 31, I went to Hinagu which is famous for its hot springs and Santoka, the poet. I walked around the streets and alleys while taking pictures. Hinagu reminds me of my good old days when life was simpler.
I think the alleyways of Japan are amazing. I really liked exploring them in Tokyo and other larger cities on my visits. Some were just packed with the most interesting shops and traditional restaurants, lanterns and lights, Japanese signs, bicycles, people...I think they just might be the heartbeat of Japan.
I am Japanese and live in Kumamoto, Japan.
Taking pictures is one of my pastimes. I would like to post one or two pictures on an irregular base in the hope that there may be someone who appreciates them. And another reason why I started my blog is to ward off senile dementia by practicing writing English.
