For the first time in these years, I visited a nearby shrine on Janurary 1st. Or I should say that my camera took me there, because I needed to take some pictures that feature the New Year's Day for my blog. I photographed a young man in a sweat suit praying seriously in front of the shrine altar. Near him, young sisters who drew
omikuji for excellent luck and personal fortune, were posing for their mother's cell-phone camera. While looking at them, I had nothing but prayer in my heart for happiness and good health in the coming year.
I remember photos you sent in the past with your mother and your children. This is a nice glimpse into your holiday traditions for the New Year.
