Yesterday I went out for a walk with my camera in my neighborhood. As I walked I spotted a big persimmon tree on the side of the road. There were only a few persimmons left on the tree branches but its leaves looked beautiful against the sun in the clear blue fall sky. A crow flew by while I was shooting. I waited for another crow to be in my camera angle. The secod photo shows that I luckily captured it after several shots. Every time I see a persimmon tree, I remember my poor childhood in my old hometown. I often climbed up a tree and ate ripe persimmons to relieve hunger. It was in the mid 1940's when there was still hunger in Japan after the war.
Beautiful tree! And, we have another similarity! I also photographed a persimmon tree this weekend. I will post it soon...I am amazed at our timing!
