Photo Shooting Practice

I have been studying photography at a cultural center in our city every other week since this spring. On this day, we practiced shooting on the bank of a waterway near the center. One of us walked along the waterway and sat on a rock by the water in a model's pose. When I took the picture of the lady with an umbrella, I should have photographed the lady, not with the river but, with the umbrella in the background. I mean, I should have used the umbrella as a photographic frame for the model. What do you think?

  1. I think the perspective you used is very attractive! The dark/light contrast is stunning and the textures of the wall and water are very interesting. However, the other perspective you mentioned could be very beautiful too! It's just a matter of preference, I think. That's why digital is so wonderful...try them all! I like this one very much...
