There are several waterfalls in the Aso area and this is the one near the southern outer rim of Mt. Aso. This waterfall is 200 meters high. The surrounding area of the waterfall basin is always filled with mist-like water spray or negative ion made from affulent underground flow from Mt. Aso. In summer many people visit here because it is easy to access by car.
