The pile of bundled books on my desk are textbooks from Channel 2, NHK Educational Station. They are the textbooks which I have studied English conversation with and squirreled away in my closet for long. I am going to take them out on the next recyclables collecting day. I do not want to throw them away. People say that persistence is progress. But I have to admit that I still have difficulty expressing myself in good English. I regret that I oftentimes let the textbooks sit in the bookshelf without using. Now I know that improvement does not depend on how many textbooks I bought but how much I studied.
