Snapshots

These are the snapshots that I took on my overnight trip to Saga Prefecture when I went hiking on two mountains. The first photo was taken in the garden of Ishibashi Art Museum in Kurume City, and the second near Tosu Highway Intersection. One the scarecrows was wearing a sash bearing a taffic safety slogan across its chest. They seemed to be erected not only for the rice paddies near the highway but also for traffic safety on the highway.

  1. That small lake on the grounds of the museum is beautiful. I really like the light blue of the water and the light browns of the bamboo boarders for the water plants. What a lovely place to linger for awhile and watch the birds come and go. I like how your country uses humor to display serious warnings about safety, etc. These scarecrows are really a hoot! They make me smile!
