Poppies on the Grassland

I visited Aso, again, with one of my friends last Saturday. We wanted to take pictures of "miyama-kirishima", one kind of wild azalea which grows on the highlands, at Sensui-kyo Gorge near the active volcano peak of Mt. Aso. On our way there, we happened to see these poppies by the road. Part of the grassland was covered with these red and pink poppies. They looked beautiful against the fresh green on the hillside.
