I took the first picture the day before yesterday and I returned to the same place to take the second picture. This is one of my favorite shooting spots. The life of a cherry blossom is short. Now the blossoms fall every time the wind blows. I tried to shoot Hitoyoshi-go in a shower of blossoms, but I failed. It was not windy today. So I ended up taking close-up pictures of the locomotive instead.
How beautiful...cherry blossoms and the amazing steam engine! What a awesome sight! I do hope you come to visit Yosemite someday. We would be so happy to take you there! The spring is the best season to enjoy the thunderous waterfalls from melting snow and FAR less people to get in the way!
