Higo-tsubaki Camellia

Today I practiced using my 60mm macro lens. I photographed camellias in my garden. These are the camellias called "higo-tsubaki", which is literally translated into "camellias in Kumamto Prefecture." These are the kind whose center of a flower is mainly appreciated. It is said that higo-tsubaki has been produced by grading up a mountain camellia for about 200 years. Now it is a flower of Kumamoto City.

  1. You and your 60mm macro lens get along famously! These are very good! I also used my 60mm yesterday but didn't get good results. I deleted every single one of them!

These are very gorgeous camellias! The centers are extraordinary...and you captured them SO well! The raindrops are a bonus to the beauty of these photos.
